Help Us Make New Music!

Hello Friends,
Surprise! We are working on new music for our new, yet to be titled, EP to be released hopefully by the middle of 2017. After being in the studio with this project since the middle of 2016 the funds started drying up. Sadly, we have reached a point in the recording process where we now realize this progress may have to come to an end due to a lack of funds. We tried really hard to fund this ourselves and already put some good, hard earned money into it. It has come to a point where we need to swallow our pride and ask anyone who is able and willing to help us make new music!
We have set up a GoFundMe account to help this project move forward! We have seen many successful GoFundMe campaigns succeed and are confident we are making the right decision for our music and our great fans. To help make this a success it is extremely important to share on social media, email, word of mouth and if you are feeling extra ambitious we included a flyer for our campaign in a link below to hang at your local business. Please check out the GoFundMe link below for some more exciting details that we did not add in this post.
We will be sure to reward those who donate with an exclusive digital download or physical CD before release date, maybe even an exclusive invite to a listening party, or a free entry into our EP release show (still working on the details)!

“Newfound View” featured on Twin Cities PBS

We were excited to find out that “Newfound View” was featured in a Twin-Cities PBS show called MN Original back in February. The video features Ernest Miller who alters his ceramic vessels and uses custom glazes, creating signature pieces that bridge modern and traditional design. You can check out or buy some of his work at http://www.ernestmiller.com/ as well as sign up for pottery classes. Check out the video and expect to see some cool pottery technique and listen for “Newfound View” at about 2:55.

No, this is not an April fools joke.
Perry Project‘s newest single titled Run Away will be released exclusively on iTunes, Amazon MP3 and the Google play store on Friday, April 1st.
This new single is a very important step in the band’s new direction musically. It represents the first song with contributions by the 5 new members who were officially added to the project in early 2015.
Run Away was recorded at Humans Win! in Minneapolis, MN. It was produced, engineered and mixed by Taylor Lewin. Run Away was mastered at Sterling Sound in New York, NY by Greg Calbi.

We are pleased to announce a new show has been added. We will be part of a great line-up of indie-rock music once again taking place at The Wild Tymes and The Palace Stage in St Paul. Watch The Animated Video For “Newfound View.”

After about a year in the making of frame-by-frame animation, the music video for “Newfound View” is complete! A big thanks to Emily Fritze for all the hard work. It’s not easy being a freelancer in the city. Enjoy!
Animated Video Progress.

As you may have recalled in one of my previous posts from last year, the ever so talented Emily Fritze of Minneapolis is working hard on creating a music video for “Newfound View.” We are both very excited about it and can’t wait to share it with the world. We both crafted a cool story that will unfold throughout this imaginary world where strange creatures exists.

Emily has really outdone herself and has spent numerous hours crafting the art and animation being used and I always tell her “I wish I had your artistic drawing ability.” You can say I am a fan of her style and originality. The thing is, when I draw something that I am thinking about, no matter how hard I try, it NEVER looks right. Even after trying for almost 2 years as a kid growing up. She has a talent that’s for sure, one that she works on constantly and all the hard work / hours she puts in shows it. In fact, she created my band logo, helped with my album art and most of the art seen throughout this site.
Below shows a transition scene for the work-in-progress video, “Newfound View.”
Look for the music video in the coming months. In the meantime check out EMILY’S ANIMATION BLOG and WEBSITE.
